Värmeverket RE:WORK camp – FLÖ∆E on site to inspire the next generation in sustainable fashion

FLÖDE took part in Re:work Camp at Värmeverket, where we educated and inspired young creatives in sustainable fashion. Through lectures, workshops, and hands-on activities, we guided the participants in creating new garments from existing materials. FLÖDE participated in Värmeverket's Re:work Camp to guide and educate the next generation of creatives.

FLÖDE and Värmeverket – work for sustainable fashion development

Sustainability and circular fashion demand knowledge, innovation, and a commitment to change. That’s why FLÖDE was proud to participate in Värmeverket’s Re:work Camp—an intensive program equipping young creators with tools to work with reuse and remaking in the fashion industry.

During the course, participants gained a deeper understanding of the textile industry’s environmental impact and practical methods for transforming existing materials into new creations. FLÖDE contributed expertise in circular design by hosting workshops, lectures, and hands-on sessions, demonstrating how to approach reuse in a professional and innovative way.

A Platform for Tomorrow’s Sustainable Designers

Re:work Camp, created by Värmeverket, addresses the industry’s growing need for skilled professionals in sustainable fashion. Combining theory and practice, participants honed their skills in reuse and remaking.

FLÖDE’s Role in the Program Included:

  1. Guiding participants in the design and creation process using existing materials.
  2. Delivering lectures on circular economy principles and sustainable solutions in the textile industry.
  3. Inspiring through case studies on scaling and implementing reuse in design workflows.
  4. Equipping participants with tangible tools to build long-term careers in sustainable fashion.

Participants also developed their own creations, culminating in a final project where they designed entirely new garments from second-hand clothing.

These pieces were showcased at Unmute Live—an exhibition at Värmeverket highlighting the participants’ work and inspiring broader audiences.

Collaboration for a Circular Textile Industry

FLÖDE views this partnership as a vital part of our mission to accelerate the shift toward a circular textile industry. By sharing our knowledge and hands-on experience with the next generation of creators, we’re building a stronger, more sustainable future for the fashion industry.

We look forward to further collaborations with Värmeverket and other pioneers committed to transforming the fashion industry at its core.
